I’m Andrew Block, a professional creative senior graphic designer with many years of agency, in-house, freelance, and contract experience.
From an early age I was drawn to the graphic arts because they combine creative and technical elements, and bring together a multitude of individual components like typography, illustration, photography, color, visual balance, and content structure that combine to form a greater whole.
Before earning my BFA in Graphic Design I got my start in the graphic arts industry as a press operator and print shop employee, and gained extensive hands-on technical knowledge of the pre-press, printing, bindery, finishing, publishing, and digital process from start to finish.
My professional graphic design career has included a diverse array of regional, national, and international clients in the following fields:
Health and Medical Industry (3M, Solventum)
Higher Education (Academy College, Saint Mary’s University, Thunderbird Aviation, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire)
Non-Profit Organizations (Habitat for Humanity, People Inc., The Sierra Club, Wisconsin Public Radio)
Professional Athletics (NFL Super Bowl Host Committee, NCAA Final Four Planning Committee)
Science and Technology (3M)
My goal has always been creating balanced and consistent design that is easy to digest, and effectively conveys visual information. I enjoy collaborating with other creative and marketing professionals to work together in finding design solutions that exceed expectations and make clients proud.
